Downtown Gatlinburg gets occasional snow, but it is not a place where you can count on real snow all winter.
The good news: you still have reliable snow tubing options near Gatlinburg, including seasonal outdoor tubing at Ober Mountain , outdoor tubing at Rowdy Bear in Pigeon Forge, and year-round indoor tubing at Pigeon Forge Snow.
Ober Mountain is the only snow tubing option in Gatlinburg itself. Its official tubing page describes a seasonal winter tubing hill with a 350-foot track, a 50-foot drop, and a Magic Carpet conveyor back to the top.
